Discipline in the buy. Operators in the build.

Most small-business acquisitions fail on one of two things: the buyer overpays, or the buyer doesn't know how to run the business the day after close. We built Salvus to be strong on both.

How we buy

Essential and resilient

We look for businesses whose customers can't defer the purchase. The truck must be fixed, the fiber must be pulled, the freight must move.

Established

Typically ten or more years of operating history, roughly $1–5 million of EBITDA, and a track record through at least one downturn.

Owner transition

Founders looking to retire, de-risk, or step back to a role they enjoy more.

Priced to the business

We underwrite cash flow, customer concentration, and capital needs honestly, and we structure the deal so the business can carry it.

How we build

Systems first

Standardized reporting, scheduling, purchasing, and customer tools, so growth doesn't depend on any one person's memory.

People stay

We retain leadership and crews, and we invest in the next layer of managers.

Add-on growth

Once the base is solid, we acquire adjacent businesses and locations that share customers, suppliers, or geography, and capture the scale.

Patient capital

No fund life forcing an exit. We hold as long as the business is compounding.

What we're not

We are not a search fund, a roll-up factory, or a financial buyer looking to strip costs and flip.

If that's what you're looking for, we're happy to point you elsewhere.
